No-exam life insurance

Accelerated underwriting eligibility, mechanics, and next steps if you don't qualify.

Accelerated underwriting is common now: qualifying applicants (within age and amount limits) get decisions from the form, Rx history, driving records and more—no paramedic visit. Many approvals arrive same-day. Each quote shows the exam expectation for that product.

What it changes

No exam does not skip the review. The carrier verifies your answers, and if the policy is issued based on wrong information, it can be challenged in its first two years. If their records flag concerns, they can still request an exam or labs; the choice to proceed is yours.

Who tends to qualify

Candidates are usually under 60, seeking amounts within the carrier's accelerated window, with no serious health issues and no tobacco for a year or longer. Some carriers will use recent lab results from your doctor instead of requiring an exam.

An exam, if required, takes 20 to 30 minutes with a paramedic who comes to your Norco home or office—at no cost. Good results often improve your rate class, so exams can help, not hurt.
