The Inland Empire covers over 27,000 square miles centered on Riverside and San Bernardino counties in Southern California. This region has evolved from agricultural roots into a hub of logistics, manufacturing, and suburban settlement. Norco remains one of the few communities in the Inland Empire that has resisted the transition fully, holding to its rural, equestrian identity while surrounding areas have densified.

Located northwest of Corona and east of Los Angeles County, Norco sits at the western edge of the Inland Empire, close enough to job centers in Los Angeles and Orange counties that it has become home to commuters and families. Yet the community has intentionally maintained its character: fewer multi-family buildings, larger lot sizes, horse trails instead of sidewalks, and ordinances that protect open space. This balance—accessibility to jobs with a preserved rural character—is uncommon in Southern California.

For families who chose Norco for that character, the economics of property, animals, and commuting are intertwined. Life insurance planning means securing the income that supports this choice, and protecting against the disruption if that income stops.
